2nd build this week, Kirito's sword from SAO, a special request from my beloved :iconmarikasan:

Main ingredients... Poplar for the blade(since I couldn't find wood with the specs needed, I had to glue 2 boards with carpenters glue :3) , sintra for the hilt details, the handle will be made of pvc and the pommel and the other hilt ring will be made of casted resin (lathed).

Hi, I used a rod, drill a hole in both sides, sword and handle, poured some glue and inserted the rod.

You wouldn't happen to have a digital copy of that trace would you?
Or at the very least the measurement for the blade.

Sorry im a bit confused on ur images when u say just cut and sand. now i see your sketch on the wood, but why does it feel that its not just a simple cut like you say. i see angles all around the edges of the wood that stops at the lines you made. can u explain a bit better how you did that, i want to start making props so something like that will need to be explained to me, ty
